A Jewish Journey to Odessa and KishinevJewish Journeys: Odessa and Kishinev: 'Imagining a New Jew'

11th – 16th October 2012 with Jeremy Leigh

The twentieth century has  bequeathed Odessa a complicated and tragic legacy. Through the turmoil of revolutions and the traumas of war, the city now rebuilds itself, both outwardly and inwardly. And if Odessa is remembered with some nostalgia by some of the Jewish People, Kishinev, now the capital of Moldova, Chişinău, has a very different place in our history.

As ever with Jewish Journeys, our purpose is to move between the iconic markers of the past at the same time as seeking out the people and places that represent present day Jewish life.

Price will be £577 for double occupancy with a single supplement of £120. The price excludes flights and is based on a minimum of 30 participants.  We reserve the right to add a surcharge if there is a significant devaluation of the pound against the destination currency.

Please note we have limited spaces available for singles so you may want to consider sharing.

A non-refundable deposit of  £75 per person is payable with your booking form. We will accept the first 30 deposits we receive and after that will open a waiting list.  Final payment will be required by 30 June 2012. To book please contact Debbi Arnold or Kirsty Pegg at Colletts Travel on 020 8202 2233.
