Between Two Extremes: Who Is It Who Punishes The Innocent?

The words of the prophet Avraham son of David:

Thus says the Lord. You are a people driven by greed. You lend other people’s money to those that cannot repay it. You package worthless securities. You have been wilful gamblers with other people’s shares and exploited other people’s property. Your pounds have ceased to be honest pounds and your dollars are toxic.

The next Jeneration of Jewish students

As Jewish students prepare to leave home for university, they will be greeted at Freshers’ Week by a new initiative which aims to connect them Jewishly whilst at university. This week sees the launch of ‘Jeneration Students’ – a range of projects including the publication of the Ultimate Guide to Student Survival; a student space on Jeneration.org and the student rep scheme which will offer activities on campuses across the UK.

Not JUST 'any dream will do'

Linda Bayfield defined herself, first and foremost, as a wife and mother. But she was also a Jewish educator of great talent. She was Head Teacher of Akiva School at the Sternberg Centre in Finchley, the first Progressive Jewish primary school in Britain. It was a private school with 160 pupils.

Major drive to increase Jewish cross-communal collaboration

Three of the largest synagogue movements within Judaism – representing around a third of British Jewry - have agreed a “Statement of Community Collaboration”, committing them to drive forward cross-communal working and respect each others’ traditions.
