ResponseAbility presents an open discussion: Dying Well – Jewishly


What does Judaism have to teach us about dying “well”?

The evening will look at three areas: living wills assisted suicide and withdrawal of care from different perspectives including legal, Jewish, medical and ethical.

A chance to hear from experts including:

Dinah Rose QC; Maureen Kendler, Lecturer at LSJS; Anne Lister, Nursing Director at the North London Hospice; Dr Charles Daniels, Medical Director at St Luke’s Hospice; Edward Turner from Dignity in Dying; Dr Laurence Buckman, GP & Chair of the BMA General Practitioners Committee; Ram Awatar, Director of Clinical Services at Nightingale; Gaby Wills, Assistant Director of Care Services at Jewish Care; Rabbi Alexandra Wright, Senior Rabbi at LJS and Elaine Kerr, Chief Executive, Chai Cancer Care.
