Chagigah 2012

Chagigah is the new name for the Movement for Reform Judaism's Biennial Conference. It means "celebration" and reflects the spirit of a joyful, fun, uplifting, spiritual, family-friendly gathering which we will be creating during our weekend at the Staverton Park Hotel in the Northamptonshire countryside.

As well as wonderful, music-filled services, we will be hosting inspiring speakers and educators, offering learning opportunities for all ages and levels. There will also be plenty of innovative and practical ideas and resources for you to take back to your community.

Pricing

We are keen to welcome all members of the wider Reform community, including students, young adults and young families, and to make the event accessible to all. We have heavily subsidised the prices for students and young adults.

Practical Information

The weekend will run from 4pm on Friday 22 June until 2pm on Sunday 24 June, offering a range of services, sessions, entertainment and activities to suit everyone. If you can't come for the whole weekend, you are welcome to join us for the day on Saturday 23 June.

Getting to Chagigah

Chagigah is being held at the Staverton Park Hotel, Daventry Road, Staverton, Daventry, Northamptonshire, NN11 6JT. Located in the Northamptonshire countryside, it is easily accessible by road from the M1 (close to junction 16), M6, M40 or by rail. Parking is available on site. Programme

The programme at Chagigah 2012 will be split into seven streams, allowing you to make the most of your time and tailor a programme as broad or focussed as suits your needs and interests. You can download a copy of the draft programme. Please note that this is a living document which is subject to change. Exciting, insightful sessions will continue to be added to it.

Chagigah 2012: Is there anything for children?

Yes! Children aged 5+ will be completely looked after in a RSY-Netzer program that runs alongside the main conference programme.

Introducing Rabbi Golan Ben-Chorin

Rabbi Golan Ben-Chorin will join us at Chagigigah 2012. He brings twenty five years of experience in Jewish education and we are so looking forward to learning more about our prayers, liturgy and new ideas on leading services with him.
