As JMI: the Jewish Music Institute prepares for its summer programmes of Yiddish song and language its Chief Executive, North West Surrey Synagogue member Jennifer Jankel reflects on her involvement with Reform Judaism and the importance of music in synagogue life. JMI has also generously sponsored the MRJ Music Conference.

Refugee Week 2013

For the first time the MRJ, the Assembly of Rabbis and the Reform communities have come together to raise awareness and inspire action in all our communities about issues affecting refugees and asylum seekers in the UK.  For Jews, Refugee Week and its message of hope and inclusion is especially close to our hearts. However long you and your family have been in this country we are all a product of the historical experience of persecution and the need to make a new life in a new country.
