“Use and abuse of Religious language” was the topic of the 36th Jewish Christian Muslim conference, held in Wuppertal, Germany.  Over 70 participants from 6 countries, including staff and students from Leo Baeck College, took part in the week long conference.

The Reform Movement is proud to be part of the production of a joint educational resource entitled ‘A Jewish Guide to Fairtrade’ along with Board of Deputies, UJIA, The Pears Foundation, JCC and Tzedek. The guide was also supported by Liberal Judaism, Masorti Judaism and the United Synagogue. Click on the link above to download the guide.

The Reform Movement has announced a series of sessions designed to explore Jewish sources in order to help people deal with the anxiety and uncertainty they are facing in the current economic crisis. Reform communities have also been active in offering support to their members.

Progressive groups launch Seder Night campaign

The results of the recent Israeli elections confirmed that there has been a distinct shift to the right amongst the Israeli electorate. Increased support has been given to policies that pose fundamental questions about the issue of citizenship in Israel.  In response to this RSY-Netzer and LJY-Netzer, the Zionist Youth Movements for Reform and Liberal Judaism, together with Pro-Zion, the Progressive Zionist Organisation in the UK, will be sending out a Haggadah insert to Jewish households across the UK.
