Make sure every voice is heard at the Western Wall
Tuesday, 21 August 2012The Kotel (Western Wall) is the holiest site in Judaism. Ultra-Orthodox Jews have complete control of the Kotel and the Western Wall Heritage Council, which administers the holy site. Reform, Conservative, Reconstructionist, Renewal, Humanistic, and secular Jews have no representation on the council and therefore the Western Wall reflects only one type of Jewish practice. A petition has been launched to show the Israeli government that the policy of giving one group complete control of the Kotel must be changed.

Rabbis and imams offer support to prisoners
Thursday, 16 August 2012The first ever joint prison visit by a group of imams and rabbis took place on Sunday 5th August. The group from the Council of Imams and Rabbis visited Muslim and Jewish prisoners together at HMP Wandsworth with Rabbi Colin Eimer of Sha'ari Tsedek North London Reform Synagogue representing the Movement for Reform Judaism.
