Rabbi Haim Shalom has been appointed Rabbi of Menorah Synagogue (Cheshire Reform Congregation), succeeding Rabbi Brian Fox who, with his wife, has retired to live in Jerusalem.

An email a day for the Omer

Manchester Reform Synagogue, Jackson's Row, is sending out an email a day for the Omer - the period between the start of Pesach and Shavuot - 49 emails for the 49 days of the Omer. The emails feature a short thought from Rabbi Silverman and aim to help people in marking the days and building up - climbing - to Shavuot, the festival of revelation and reinvigoration.
