Big Birthday for a Small Congregation

Sheffield and District Reform Jewish Congregation (S&DRJC), a small congregation with less than 100 members and no building of its own, was delighted to welcome a number of distinguished guests to join many of its own members for a special Shabbat service in January to celebrate the congregation’s formation 21 years ago.

Maidenhead Pulls Spiel Off

Maidenhead Synagogue claimed victory in another thrilling RSY-Netzer Purim Spiel-off. The fifth annual competition held at Alyth, winners in 2009, saw five teams from Alyth, Finchley, Wimbledon, Maidenhead and Sinai in Leeds compete for the RSY-Netzer Community Cup. This is Maidenhead’s second win following their triumph at the first Spiel-off back in 2005.
