Reform Judaism's groundbreaking conversion weekend

The Movement for Reform Judaism has hosted the UK’s first ever residential weekend for people considering conversion to Judaism, currently in the process of conversion or who have recently converted. This innovative event underlines the Movement for Reform Judaism’s commitment to an open and inclusive Judaism, seeking out new opportunities and spaces in which to engage with people wherever they are on their Jewish journey, including those becoming Jewish, as well as people with partners who are currently not Jewish.

The sun is starting to come out, the days are getting longer athe RSY-Netzer office are getting ready for RSY-Netzer Day Camp 2014/5774! For the fourth summer in a row, we will be running Reform Jewish day camps for young people in school years reception to year six in three different locations around the country.

Are you thinking about joining us at Chagigah: a weekend celebrating Reform Judaism? Here is the first in a series of pieces from people who attended the last weekend two years ago. Sarita Robinson is the Movement's Northern Communities Development Worker. She known across the country for her enthusiasm, good humour and passion for Reform Judaism. And here she shares her experience of attending - and organising - Chagigah for the first (but certainly not the last!) time.
