Building community for young adults in Wimbledon

In the past year Wimbledon and District Synagogue have held five Friday night services and meals, with around 30 people every time, making it an intimate and fun place to be on a Friday night.

SWESRS youth given Jack Petchey Achievement Awards

Three young members of SWESRS (South West Essex & Settlement Reform Synagogue) have received Jack Petchey Awards. The scheme is a reward and recognition initiative which enables 2,000 schools and youth organisations to celebrate the achievements of their young people as well as receiving additional funding.

Synagogue bids farewell to Rabbi Nancy Morris

Rabbi Nancy Morris of SWESRS (South West Essex & Settlement Reform Synagogue) and her husband Jim are returning to Toronto in her native Canada after two and a half years at SWESRS. In her last Shabbat service Rabbi Morris paid tribute to the warmth shown to her from the Redbridge community and was presented with a farewell gift of a yad (Torah pointer).
