£250,000 to go to Leo Baeck College

At Bloomsbury Auctions on 29th January 2009, Leo Baeck College sold a collection of works illustrated and inscribed in books by the famous Jewish artist, Marc Chagall realising a sum of £250,000.

Living in the Age of Anxiety: the Reform Movement responds to the economic crisis

The Reform Movement has announced a series of sessions designed to explore Jewish sources in order to help people deal with the anxiety and uncertainty they are facing in the current economic crisis. The ten weekly sessions beginning in late April will be facilitated by leading rabbis and Jewish educators.

My name is Jon Caine and I am the new chairman of Southgate and District Reform Synagogue. I am 30 years old, which is why many people in the wider community want to know how I came to be chairman at such a comparatively young age.
