URJ Biennial: What Can We Learn?

Two dozen representatives from seven of our communities attended the North American Union of Reform Judaism’s Biennial in Washington, DC last December. There was much to learn and take in at the event with over 6000 attendees.

Movement Board member and Vice President of the European Union for Progressive Judaism, Jonathan Lewis has prepared this report on the Biennial.

Rabbi Laura Janner-Klausner Wows Manchester on First Visit as Movement Rabbi

Three days into her job as the new Movement Rabbi, Laura Janner-Klausner's first community visit was to Manchester and its three Reform Synagogues. Starting a busy weekend, she celebrated Erev Shabbat at Sha'arei Shalom synagogue in North Manchester, sharing a traditional Friday night meal before explaining that her main priority was to help each Reform community in the UK to achieve its full potential.
