Staying up to take part in a 'Tikkun Leyl Shavuot': Jewish learning for all or part of the first night of Shavuot is an increasingly popular activity and many of our synagogues have events planned for the evening. Erev Shavuot is Tuesday 14th May.

Rabbi Laura Janner-Klausner in dialogue with Church of Scotland

Rabbi Laura Janner-Klausner yesterday (9th May) represented the Movement for Reform Judaism in discussions with the Church of Scotland. The discussions, which included other representatives of the Jewish community were facilitated by the Council of Christians and Jews and followed publication of a controversial Church of Scotland report on Judaism's relationship with the Land of Israel.
