UK Task Force on issues facing Arab citizens of IsraelThe Movement for Reform Judaism is already a member of the Task Force which is a diverse, broad-based coalition of organisations committed to the welfare of Israel and its secure and peaceful existence.

Movement board member David Karat who took part in a study trip to Israel with the Task Force and holds the board portfolio for Israel said: "The Movement for Reform Judaism is delighted that one of our communities is the first synagogue to join the UK Task Force. I would encourage other synagogues to do the same as part of our commitment to supporting equal opportunities in Israel for all citizens".

Finchley Reform Synagogue Chair, Graham Moss said: "The synagogue always likes to take the lead in responding to contemporary issues and is deeply involved in all matters relating to Israel. We recognise the Jewish responsibility to look after the vulnerable in society and welcomed this opportunity to be involved in the UK Task Force".

The next Task Force study trip will be to the Negev from 19-23 February 2012 visiting Bedouin communities in the region and learning about shared society initiatives. Alice Wood from the UK Task Force said: "We had excellent representation from the Reform Movement last year and I hope there will be a strong contingent joining us on the trip once again. Participation is open to all so do please be in touch to find out more".
