Koleinu Has Arrived

The first Friday night rock band in the Reform Movement was launched with great success on 16 July at Shar’arei Tsedek, North London Reform Synagogue.Over 100 people attended to help create great Shabbat spirit and joy with the community's new rock band, led by Louise Katin. Reactions included: "I want to tell you how much I enjoyed the Friday night service - it was a joy to be there - the evening was such a enjoyable experience that I can't wait for the next one!" and "The service carried me through the weekend—it was wonderful."
Everyone joins in with instruments, and stays afterwards for the special Kiddush. The service, led by Rabbi Marcia Plumb and Koleinu, is designed to be inclusive, energising and warmhearted for those who come and to inspire the synagogue community as a whole, beyond the service.
The next Koleinu service will be on 24th September, as the community sings in joy for Hol ha-moed Sukkot. Koleinu will then be held once a month on Friday night.
