New Youth Leader for Manchester
Monday, 12 October 2009
Manchester Reform Synagogue welcomed its new Youth Leader, Frankie Stubbs, just before the High Holy Days.
Frankie, who grew up in Southport and attended Southport New Synagogue, started working as the new youth leader at Jackson's Row in August and will be with the shul for at least one year. She had been involved with RSY-Netzer for the last nine years and enjoyed organising summer camps and weekend events. She has just started her second year at Nottingham Trent University studying Youth Studies - a great course for Frankie, who loves working with children and teenagers.
President, Danny Savage, said 'We are pleased to have Frankie join us. She played a large part in organising the children's activities at our Hartington Family weekend, and they had a wonderful time under her guidance'. Frankie will be coming to Cheder to meet the teachers and helpers there. She said 'I'm really looking forward to working with the young people at Jackson's Row. There are plenty of events happening throughout the year that I can’t wait to get everyone involved with.'
