Rabbi Shoshana Boyd Gelfand on High Holy Day Successes

Reform Judaism is not "one size fits all." Rather, it is about helping people to make informed decisions about their own Jewish Journey. This year, more people than ever were engaged with their Jewish Journey through two programmes organized in partnership between the MRJ and its constituent synagogues. Together, we helped  almost  300 young people take advantage of free passes for High Holy Day services, offered by some of our synagogues.

In addition, we reached out to those who were physically unable to come into a synagogue, by taking the prayer service to them via their computer screen. Both of these programmes were about helping synagogues to reach more people and engage them in their Jewish Journey. Our hope is to expand these programmes and others like them in the future, so that even more people of all ages and all physical abilities can participate as fully as possible in their Jewish lives.
