Responding to the Credit Crunch

The Reform Movement has announced a series of sessions designed to explore Jewish sources in order to help people deal with the anxiety and uncertainty they are facing in the current economic crisis. Reform communities have also been active in offering support to their members.
Middlesex New Synagogue have launched an employment help line. It is hoped that the resource will be used by those in need of help as well as by those who are able to offer help to those who are seeking work. There is also the opportunity to make a donation to the Employment Support Fund. Email

Trisha Ward and Alan Sanders, representatives from the Employment Resource Centre (ERC), will be talking at the next in West London Synagogue's series of Kesher events and taking questions about the service which to date has helped nearly 8000 unemployed people in the Jewish community back to work.
The ERC provides help to people from every occupational background and level of experience in a confidential setting and is totally free of charge. Hear about the wide range of seminars and services including, job search strategy, career choices and transition as well as how to get the best out of networking opportunities, computer training, raising confidence and motivation, CV Preparation, interview training and much more to help secure their way back to employment.
